Kevin has proudly collaborated with Bayer on initiatives that elevate stroke awareness and survivor voices. He is honored to continue partnering with Bayer on “The Invisible Made Visible” campaign, launched at ESOC 2025. Together, they aim to spotlight the often-overlooked reality of stroke recurrence by amplifying survivor stories and driving global momentum for secondary stroke prevention.

To celebrate World Stroke Day, stroke survivors Stacie Broek and Kevin Nakawatase shared how they turned their personal challenges into resilience and advocacy. Alongside them, leading stroke neurologist and researcher, Dr. Mira Katan,  offered expert insights into how science and lived experiences together can change the future of stroke care.
